Viktoria Fahringer grew up with original Tyrolean cuisine as a child of the traditional “Tiroler Hof” inn in Kufstein. At the age of just 20, she took over her parents’ business and was awarded her first Gault&Millau toque at the age of 21.

The top chef has now spent a year traveling through the breathtaking landscape of Tyrol and rediscovering her homeland. Inspired by conversations with local producers, Viktoria Fahringer combines traditional Tyrolean cuisine with sustainable nutritional approaches in this cookbook. The book contains simple and regional recipes, but also modern interpretations of classics and seasonal dishes such as mushroom slices instead of spleen slices or vegetarian Tyrolean Gröstl, which allow us to enjoy the extraordinary nature and tradition of Tyrol in every kitchen.

Viktoria Fahringer is Austria’s youngest award-winning chef. The enterprising Tyrolean knew early on that she wanted to go her own way. She now successfully runs the “Tiroler Hof” in Kufstein, where she and her father offer toque-awarded menus as well as popular tavern classics. In addition to her hotel Viktorias Home, Viktoria also runs her own cooking school and has been honored for her achievements to date with the RX Female Award and was listed among the “30 under 30” by Forbes 2023.
